Department of 英语Master of 艺术 in Applied Linguistics
The department offers a Master of 艺术 (M.A.) in Applied Linguistics. This program prepares students to pursue advanced graduate study or to teach in colleges, adult education programs, 企业, private schools, or institutions in the U.S. 还是在国外. The program's two concentrations are 教学 英语 to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Language, 社会, and Social Justice. Students in the program may also earn a certificate in TESOL and/or use appropriate courses in the program as requirements toward obtaining the Commonwealth of Virginia Endorsement for 英语 as a Second Language.
